Business Fields Introduction
- Synthetic Rubbers
- We are the country’s first producer of synthetic rubber to become a part of advances in automobile and tire industries, and we have the world’s largest production capacity in general-purpose synthetic rubber, such as SBR and BR. By improving the main properties of synthetic rubber, such as elasticity, heat resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, etc., we have expanded its end-use possibilities into other industrial items, such as golf balls, medical products, footwear, asphalt modifiers, etc. The work on product grading/diversification of high-functional synthetic rubber like SSBR and NdBR, suitable for tire labeling system, is in progress, and it is done in accordance with the enhancement of energy efficiency requirements.
- Synthetic Resins
- We supply industrial products as well as everyday general-purpose products, such as automotive parts, electronic components, food containers, building materials, etc. We developed black EPS (Enerpor), a highly energy efficient insulation material that is able to meet the enhanced energy efficiency requirements, and provide ABS, HIPS, SAN, EPS, PPG, etc. as main products. We are strengthening our high-functional synthetic resins product line.
- Specialty Chemicals
- We supply pharmaceutical rubber that increases the stability and durability of rubber products, such as tires. We have world-class production capabilities and supply network through vertical integration with synthetic rubber division of oxidation inhibitors and antiaging agents.
- Nanocarbon
- We manufacture and supply carbon nanotubes. It is a base material, also called a dream material, whose tensile strength is 100 times greater than steel and its electrical conductivity is 1,000 times greater than copper. We are leading the industrial materials innovation through developments of main composite materials, such as synthetic resins, synthetic rubbers, etc.
- Energy
- As a private company that is licensed to sell power as a group energy provider, we produce steam and electricity through cogeneration plants operations. Currently, we are expanding the scope of our business into new and renewable energies, such as photovoltaic, solar thermal, TDF, biomass, among others.
- Building Materials
- We are promoting eco-friendly living environment through “Hugreen”, a brand of eco-friendly building materials. We are developing and supplying a line of innovative and eco-friendly window systems using ABS material that is free of hazardous heavy metals and toxic substances.
